Cub Scouts wear two types of uniforms:

• The Field Uniform (formerly "Class A") is worn during Pack Meetings, travel to and from campouts, service projects and formal occasions. Pack 400 considers the minimum Field Uniform to be the official uniform shirt (which differs by grade level), neckerchief with slide (provided by the Pack), and appropriately colored pants or shorts (e.g. Navy Blue for Lion-Bear (K-3), Olive Green for Webelos-AoL (4-5). While not required, we highly recommend the official Cub Scout Canvas Belt which is designed to fit all Lion-Bear (K-3) awards.
• The Activity Uniform (formerly "Class B") consists of a BSA branded t-shirt and the appropriately colored pants or shorts. It is worn for den meetings, summer fun meetings, and during campouts.

These pants/shorts are not required to be the “official” BSA bottoms. While BSA considers the hat, belt, and socks to be required, Pack 400 considers these to be optional.

Uniforms can be purchased at the Winston Salem Scout Shop located at 6600 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC.

Pack 400 meets on Tuesday nights when Stokes County Schools are in session. If kids are out of school (planned or unplanned), we do not meet.

We have two main types of meetings:

• Den Meetings - Most Tuesdays we meet from 7-8PM:
  • The first 15 minutes start with a flag ceremony and announcements. Parents are requested to attend.
  • After the opening ceremony, dens breakout to work on rank requirements and adventures.
• Pack Meetings - The third Tuesday of each month from 6-8PM is a Pack Meeting: bring the whole family for food and the presentation of awards.
  • From 6-7PM we have a potluck dinner (typically with a signup ahead of time)
  • Awards presentation starts at 7PM.
